Commonly known as the Weeping Golden Ash, this is a deciduous tree grown for its colourful foliage and weeping growth habit. It features branches held in a pendulous manner and leaves that emerge light green in spring and remain this colour until autumn. As autumn progresses the foliage develops impressive golden yellow tones before falling. It produces a rounded crown as it grows to 8 m tall and 5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It will tolerate some wind, dry periods, cool climates, frost, and coastal environments. The Weeping Golden Ash is commonly grown as a specimen or included in a mixed planting in a large garden. It can be contained in smaller gardens with trimming.
