The Jagdpanther/Panzerjager was a natural progression
from the Panther mounting a bigger gun in a fixed
fighting compartment on the then proved Panther
chassis. It was produced by two companies from
January 1944 until the end of the war. Only a small
number were made, approximately 390. This was good
for the Allied tankers.
