The effortless Kate Moss never gets it wrong – including when it comes to her hair. Lived-in texture; an undone, slightly rock ‘n’ roll edge; perfect cut and colour… the supermodel’s sun-kissed blonde waves are never anything less than enviable.
But even Moss switches things up sometimes – as illustrated by her appearance at the Prince’s Trust Global Gala in New York on Thursday. Adding a deep side-parting, the supermodel wore her mid-length hair in imperfect tousled curls, which were teased at the roots to create a post-beach, après-swim effect. The style married unfinished kiss curls with a slightly damp finish.
Created by hairstylist Bob Recine, the damp-look style evoked Moss’s wet-finish hair at Fendi’s haute couture spring/summer 2021 show, where artistic director Kim Jones sent an array of supermodels down the runway with Venetian mermaid hair.
She paired the look with luminous and fresh make-up, perfected by her friend Charlotte Tilbury, with whom she attended the event. Tilbury created a “flawlessly sun-kissed look, with sultry matte eyes and nude-rose lips” for Moss – and used the brand’s new Beautiful Skin Foundation and Hollywood Contour Wand to achieve the look.
