charging speed is not impressive…45w can work for the first 10-15 minutes then it comes down to 25w

        Thanks for doing low-light tests.
Many YouTube reviewers make the mistake of only making daylight tests.
It is easy for a camera to perform well in good light, that is no big deal.
Low light performance paints a far more accurate picture as to how well a camera performs.

I turn the phone off. When using a 65W Anker charger with a 3A 60W Anker cable, I find that the phone is charged to a maximum of 80%. When using the same charger with a 5A 100W Ugreen cable, the phone can reach a full 100% charge.

I can't find a way to do that in routines. I can deactivate the wireless charging once the battery reaches 70% but since I only use wired charging that won't work for me

If anything, they could change the "charge phone" reminder to 20% too (rather than 15%)... it's not as important as the 80% automatic cut-off though.

UK price is from £1249.00 to £1449.00 as of 20/04/2024. It's a little frustrating that gsmarena bases their prices off of the cheapest Amazon listing, because I just checked it and it's obviously a refurbished deal fraudulently trying to pass itself off as new (think about how a random small business could possibly sell multiple for £984.99, £264.01 cheaper than legitimate sellers).

I wish this website would scrap the often wrong / misleading amazon links and just stick with the MSRP that the manufacturer. It's better than reading the price and knowing from experience it's not correct.

Milan987, 18 Apr 2024It is not true that overnight charging is worse than fast c... moreBut that's only for Samsung and other vendors with this feature. Otherwise without that feature, overnight charging is your battery's biggest killer.

Samsung has a "battery protection" function that automatically turns off charging when it reaches 85% capacity 😀 So you can charge overnight and protect your battery 😀

Konrad Lorenz, 03 Apr 2024Yes, I've seen this answer elsewhere as well, but I... moreWell, if you want scientific research, there's plenty of journal article search engines you can go to for that. Note that private companies generally don't publish their research, so you're at odds here. Either way, believe what you like. I certainly don't feel the need to be skeptical here, it's not like there is overwhelming evidence from users who report battery health problems.

P.S. I guess it is fair to say that even with all the safeguards, fast-charging might overall have more impact on the battery than standard charging. But this amount is negligible especially considering you'll be switching phones every 3-4 years.

NeonHD, 03 Apr 2024That's true, you're a 3rd party in this debate. B... moreYes, I've seen this answer elsewhere as well, but I'm not convinced, that's why I asked for scientific research. It's like stating that a patient is in good hands, because the surgeons received XY certification. I would like to read about the process. Back to the original discussion, just because safeguards are implemented doesn't mean the battery will not degrade faster

I will not debate this matter with you, and my opinion about fast charging is truly my own feeling, I admit. Peace.

Konrad Lorenz, 02 Apr 2024Because I wasn't the one who declared a conclusion. Wi... moreThat's true, you're a 3rd party in this debate. But the person I was replying to is equally obligated to prove their statement. Even if I refuse to prove my point, that doesn't hold my argument at a disadvantage unless the opposing side proves theirs first. This is standard rules of logic, regardless of facts.

Don't try to think that I am avoiding the question. It is true that higher wattage naturally generates more heat, but whatever battery degradation that happens from the heat generated by fast charging is minimal due to the amount of safeguards implemented during the charging process. Therefore, it's still a myth.

NeonHD, 02 Apr 2024I see what you're doing here. The same could be asked ... moreBecause I wasn't the one who declared a conclusion. Without it it's nothing but a baseless assumption
