is anyone else facing a mobile data connectivity issue? It happens to me randomly. when I turned it to airplane mode and after turning it off it worked for the last few weeks. now it gets worse, the above technique doesn't work. now I'm forced to restart my phone. any sollutions to this or pour your ideas and experiences

HSB, 13 Apr 2024Well I just bought it and CPUZ says it has Snapdrgon 665 wi... moreNo need to worry it has Snapdragon 685 which is power efficient compared to Snapdragon 665 and is 5-10% better in performance. My previous phone (Realme 5i) has Snapdragon 665 and this one (Redmi note 12 4G) has Snapdragon 685 and it's a bit better and that is noticeable.
The CPU-Z app does not tell the actual accurate processor in the phone sometimes , it has some algorithm which does this mistake but it's nothing to worry about.

1- Uninstall the apps which have been in your phone for a long time and you don't use them.
The lower the number of apps the better it is for a entry level/midrange device like this.
2- Close background apps which are the main reason of battery drain and sluggishness of the phone and the bloatware installed by Xiaomi, you can disable some and uninstall some of them.
3- Clear the cache (not data) of the apps you use frequently
and then re-start the phone. Re-start the phone once a day or after every 2 days.
4- Keep your occupied storage less than 75% of the total storage to run the phone smoothly.
5- From the settings go to apps and manage apps and then look for background auto start section and turn off all the apps from that except Whatsapp.
Further you can logout the apps when not using them like Instagram, Facebook etc. because they continuously process in the background and slow down the phone.
6- If you have less than 6 GB ram variant then that can be an issue too. 8 GB ram variant is recommended, 6 gb is ok and 4gb ram is not sufficient in 2024.
This phone's processor is not that powerful for Android 14 and the software UI is a little heavier too so there will be some slowness in the phone but the above mentioned steps do improve things.
You can turn off 120 hz and this can create some relief for the processor and the battery but it's upto you.
Using battery saver mode will also help when not using heavy apps or games. It will stop unnecessary background tasks.

Genuinely loved this before getting it. Experienced blackout during calls and sometimes when working.
Camera is somewhat Mid, but I enjoyed the processor for a while. Same as charging speed (my favourite thing)
After update to HyperOS, I've had to deal with overheating and performance lag more often
Overall it isn't bad for a budget device.

Phone blackout is true. Speakers are fine for me but if it's something that I would want to listen in high quality just get headphones.

Have been using this phone for 1 year.
Cons: *speaker quality is bad
*Blackout sensor issue when Im on a call
*Get battery low warning just a few seconds earlier
before it turns dead.
*Camera quality is Low
Pros: *Good build quality
*Good diaplay
I dont recommend this phone at all

Pros: Great battery life and performance even if you are using 120hz refresh rate. After Hyperos+Android 14 uodate overall performance and battery life got better.
Cons: Terrible camera quality don't fail for beautiful camera design and '50mp" label. Camera quality is very bad. If you wanna take some shots with camera this device is not for you. This device offers fow gaming performance, if you are mobile gamer don't buy, i mean you can play some of offline medium quality

So I still upgraded and on my 8gb device hyperOS works really well, smooth and fast! This phone has been perfect for my needs.

Ayan, 21 Mar 2024Can I play codm on note 12 4g ?The phone heats on gaming in summer, you will need to play under air conditioner or buy a gaming cooling fan for the best gaming experience.
But performance wise it can achieve 40 fps on low settings and it does decent job, maintains fps from 35 to 40. Touch response is good and gameplay is smooth. Minor stutters can occur when so many enemies around you but overall a fine experience it gives.
Using a cooling fan/ AC is better because without them it will heat and drain battery quicker which may lower the fps and overall gaming experience (lags due to thermal throttle etc.)
