Anthony Joshua fancies taking on Jarrell Miller, says Eddie Hearn

ANTHONY JOSHUA is considering taking on Jarrell Miller in the United States, promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed.

Anthony Joshua has established himself in Europe, claiming the IBF, IBO, and WBA titles but is yet to announce himself to the US audience.

The 28-year-old is yet to fight in America and has been linked with a heavyweight unification fight against Deontay Wilder in the New Year.

However, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has suggested the 32-year-old may have to wait in line for a shot at Joshua, claiming Jarrell Miller is top of his hitlist.

“Jarrell Miller’s making a lot of noise right now,” Hearn said.

“We look at potential opponents for Anthony Joshua, particularly in the United States and Jarrell Miller’s at the top of the list.”

And Hearn admitted he had spoken to Joshua about a potential bout with Miller, suggesting he is keen to face the 29-year-old American.

“I think Jarrell Miller is one of the true heavyweights,” he added.

“I’ve talked to Anthony about Jarrell. He rates him highly, he thinks he’s good fun and he’d be up for a fight like Jarrell Miller.

“He’d be one of the perfect guys to come over and take on in the States.”

The news will come as a blow to Wilder who claimed earlier this month he hopes to fight Joshua in America in early 2018.

"I know one day things will happen and I think it will be next year. The public are going to force it and the people want it, the people want it now,” wilder said.

"It's big right now, we don't need any more hype for this. We're heavyweights, everyone around the world is talking about this.

"They don't know Joshua here, but that is why they should have the fight here. If they have the fight here it is going to be crazy.”
