David Haye has insisted he has no plans of retiring - and called Tony Bellew out for a rematch in Liverpool.

Haye was stopped in the 11th round of his all-British heavyweight dust-up by Bellew on Saturday evening after suffering a ruptured Achilles in the sixth round.

Bellew's final punch knocked Haye out of the ring as the Wavertree-born 'Bomber' produced a stunning finish to a feud that had been building for months.

Will there be a David Haye v Tony Bellew rematch ?

Haye has now suggested that the pair could clash once again in Bellew's hometown after dismissing talk of retiring.

In his Metro column, Haye said: "We both said we would like a rematch, and I’d go to Liverpool to make it happen.

"I’d maybe even like a best-of-three. Make it a classic series, like the Micky Ward-Arturo Gatti trilogy.

"It’s fair to say the build up would be different if we fought again with a new founded respect. He now respects my heart and will to win, and I now respect Tony’s power and durability.

"If he doesn’t want a rematch, I’ll respect that. It’s his life, he knows how tough it was. Will he want to put his body through that again? It wasn’t a fun night for either of us.
