M1224 MaxxPro was developed by Navistar International as an armored vehicle with mine protection in 2007. After successful testing, production orders were delivered in the same year to both the USMC and the us army. Several variants appeared different degree of protection, installed on the roof of a normal station. The M1224 weighs 13.5 tons and is powered by a MaxxForce D9 330 HP diesel engine and a 5-speed Allison 3000 automatic transmission.
