    Being a Millennial, I couldn't help buying this part for the "Miata crank saver" job and not checking compatibility. Well, serves me right. But I'm leaving this review so that you know before buying.

    There are two different pulley boss part numbers and variations for the 1.8 motor, and they are as follows:

    '94-'95 -- B3C7-11-400
    '96-'97 -- B6BF-11-400a

    So, that means this one is for the '94 - '95 engine, and NOT '96 - '97. I have a 1996 car (which I also suspect is closer to being a '96.5 or '97 because I was also able to install an aftermarket single DIN radio with no fitment issues). The fitment issue is because the thickness of this is slightly more than the later year part because the later engine has an extra plate / spacer behind the boss called an "OBD II exciter ring in '96. It is a separate part, a flat round plate, similar in diamater to the pulley, with several nubs sticking out of it to trigger the Hall Effect sensor." This means none of the accessory belts line up right, which means they won't last very long.
