Back in 2008, Flo Rida and Kesha broke records together with their floor-filling anthem 'Right Round'.

It marked Kesha's first appearance at the top of the Hot 100 chart as she sang the chorus which sampled Dead Or Alive's classic hit 'You Spin Me (Right Round)'.

But the Floridian rapper has yet to catch up with Kesha since she became embroiled in a legal battle with Dr Luke, who also produced 'Right Round'.

"A lot of the time the other artist is busy as well as myself, so I haven't got the chance to see her," Flo Rida told Digital Spy. "But we never really get the chance to catch up because of our schedules."

Asked what he makes of the situation, he replied: "I mean, my thing is that I never really focus on what the media puts out.

"I haven't spoken to her about that and there's always two sides to a story."

Kesha is yet to face Dr Luke in court after claiming the producer sexually abused her during their ten-year professional period together. These are allegations Dr Luke strenuously denies.

Kesha's legal battle with Dr Luke: What's happened so far and what does this mean for her future career?

It means that Kesha's music career is in limbo in the meantime, as she battles to have her contract with Dr Luke's Kemosabe Records deemed void.

Flo Rida, meanwhile, is promoting his new single 'Hello Friday', which heads up his fifth studio album due out later this year.

But he's actually still working on music for the collection. "Anytime you got something great going, you don't want to stop," he said. "I'm always trying to do better records."
