Chestnut-colored woodpecker (Celeus castaneus) is a species of bird in the family Picidae. It is found in Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama. Appears very dark, with many V-shaped black marks on rich chestnut above and below; crested head creamy brown; bill greenish ivory. Male broad moustache mark, part of ear patch and (sometimes) lores red.
