ASV ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIER (APC)
PROTECTING THE WARFIGHTER
Equipped with Gunner Protection Kit (GPK)
The APC is a platform that adapts new technologies while minimizing development time and cost. This superbly engineered and
battle-tested design continues to meet new and emerging threats associated with the next generation of warfare.
When equipped with a GPK, the APC provides:
• Extended crew compartment for three crew members and up to seven dismounts.
• Fully independent front and rear suspension and superior mobility
• Increased protection and 360-degree visibility to the gunner
• Gunner protection to maintain gunner-ready position
• Protection against armor-piercing ammunition and fragmentation threats
• Situational awareness for the gunner.
ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIER VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS
The APC is recognized as one of the best-in-class wheeled,
armored combat vehicles due to:
• Survivability - Scalable bolt-on
appliqué provides protection from
direct and indirect weapons, mines
and improvised explosive devices
(IEDs). Low aural, thermal and
visual profiles
• Mobility – Four-wheel drive allows
freedom to maneuver over all
terrain
• Lethality – GPK keeps the gunner
protected while in weapon
engagement position
• Sustainability - Highly maintainable,
organically supported, proven high
operational readiness in more than
six years of combat operations.
Combat experience has shown the
survivability advantages of the GPK
which allows the gunner to maintain
a protected gunner-ready position
for near 360-degree visibility from
the safety of the APC. The GPK
defeats armor-piercing ammunition
and fragmentation threats for the
warfighter. The vehicle offers excellent
handling, ride quality and mobility.
The APC enables combat troops
to drive all-terrain missions beyond
the capabilities of most MRAPs. A
cost-effective force multiplier in every
sense, the APC continues to play
a formidable role on a changing
battlefield.
