The short clip - which features the retro-styled babes cavorting around Venice Beach, Los Angeles wearing AWESOME 80s platforms and hanging out with some potential man candy - marks the band's first official video release since they announced that they had reunited. Which means their last music video dropped an epic 12 years ago.

It was shot by famed fashion photographer Auleta, who also makes her directional debut with the 'babes.

For us? It's all about the dog on the skateboard.

And the song, of course. Which is ace.

Flatline is set to be released on 15 September. But fans will have to wait it out for the album, which isn't set to drop until early 2014.

Mutya Keisha Siobhan celebrated the premiere of their new single Flatline by revealing details of their new album during a Google + Hangout yesterday.

The original Sugababes line-up answered fans questions during the live streamed, fan-based event at Google HQ in London.

"For us, it's important that we experiment with different types of music and the album definitely reflects that. The sounds comes more from the vocal blend of harmonies," Keisha said on the record.

"You have to experiment with our voices," Siobhan added. "Some things that you think will really work in the studio don't, and then other things where we think we are really pushing the boat out - it might be too pop or it might be too urban - and we do it and it works!

"We've taught ourselves that the sky is the limit; to keep pushing ourselves. If there is a producer we love out there, contact them and try it out. You never know who you are going to gel with musically!"

The band also revealed that they will be shooting a new video for the track in Los Angeles next week.

"The reason we're doing that is that we wrote Flatline in LA with Dev Hynes," Siobhan continued. "We feel that the scenery there will really capture what the song is about. The director is a woman called KT Auleta, she shoots for Italian Vogue. We think her work is amazing! She wrote a treatment for Flatline and it completely summed up how we felt about the song."

The original Sugababes line-up - now called MKS - have opened up about their reunion, with Keisha Buchanan revealing that she and Siobhan Donaghy buried the hatchet that led to Siobhán quitting the original line up 11 years ago.

Speaking to Ponystep magazine, Buchanan said: "Me and Siobhán had to sit down and have that conversation before anything else... There were a lot of things misconstrued over the years and we weren't in a good place. But we reached an understanding and were able to move forward."

The 28-year-old singer also revealed that she first started to contemplate a truce after former bandmate Mutya Buena appeared on breakfast TV.

"I remember sitting on my couch watching Mutya on Lorraine, just after I'd left the Sugababes.

"Lorraine said, 'You might as well call Siobhán and get the original band back together'. I could see Mutya thinking 'Perhaps'. That was the start."

Mutya then revealed: "After that, I Facebooked Siobhán and we said we should meet up." The feisty trio also admitted that they'll be approaching the fame game differently this time around, too. Keisha said: "They (band managers) tried to (media train us), but as soon as we got on to camera we forgot everything we'd been told... We'd go into interviews with faces like thunder."

Donaghy, 28, added: "Back then, we weren't even moody. We didn't realise you have to smile or you look aloof when you're on TV." Buena also spoke about what fans can expect from their forthcoming album, saying: "It's a step up from the first album. I hope people enjoy it - actually I know they will."

The original Sugababes line-up has officially reformed.

Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy have confirmed their plans to release a new album and have posted a picture of themselves together for the first time since they split.

Taking to Twitter, Buchanan revealed: "Dear tweeters ive been trying my best to keep this one on the DL haha @mutyabuena @siobhandonaghy @mksofficial. Speaking to Popjustice, the girls said of their first rehearsals back together: "The first time we sang in a room together and worked out our harmonies and sang them together was recording a song called Too In Love. Buchanan added: "It was the first time we'd sang together since we were 16 years old. To be honest with you it wasn't an instant thing. When we were younger we gelled straight away, but we had to learn to blend with each other again. "It was so special to be excited about hearing our voices together, and being excited about our music. On my days off I'd go home and I'd listen to the tracks. I'd be like, 'I'm really enjoying this'. I just enjoyed our music." Mutya Keisha Siobhan are planning to release their album at the end of this year. Single releases are expected to be announced in due course.

The original line-up of the Sugababes are set to reform, it has been rumoured.

The founding members of the girl group - Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy - are reportedly working on a new album, and will apparently make their reunion official when it is complete.

According to pop gossip site Wot You Got, the trio "haven't signed anything official yet, but they have been demoing some new songs to see if they can re-capture that magic of their debut album".

The site added: "If they get that right, then they'll sign on the dotted lines."

But don't get your hopes up too soon, Sugababes fans. The same reunion was rumoured by a number of sources - including the Guardian, NME.com and Holymoly.com - back in 2009, just after Keisha Buchanan left the band.

At the time, Warner Music, who were apparently involved in signing up the trio, denied any involvement.

"We haven't seen them here or heard anything about it," a spokesperson told the Guardian: "I don't think they've got the story right."

All three girls made up the first incarnation of the Sugababes, who formed in 1998.

Keisha Buchanan, who was the last to leave the band, played her first solo gig earlier this year.

However, no release date or record deal has been announced for the star since she left the band in 2009.
